“As the full moon in Scorpio approaches deep feelings can arise within you.”
As much as I love the Full Moon, often I get a little emotional before hand or during but at it’s peak (It’s waxing at 90% right now), I feel this wonderful surge of energy even though I am awake and stimulated by it. Full moon energies differ. The full moon Taurus was a really nice lovely moon. But Scorpio, is of a different nature.
When is this Full Moon Exactly?
Full Moon is this Sunday May 19 at 7:11am AEST (9:11am NZET).
Traditionally, the Scorpio Full Moon is considered one of the most powerful times for releasing, cleansing, and transforming your life.
What does Full Moon in Scorpio Represent?
This Full Moon is in Scorpio but opposing the sun in Taurus, thus presents us with a complementary connection.
It can be see as the fertile polarity of water (scorpio) and earth (Taurus) providing the opportunity to soften and create a harmonious pathway between our values and emotions. This moon can bring forward a nurturing or rocky effect on your relationships in summary.
This is a challenging period to face two weeks prior to the full moon. You may notice more anger, fear and emotions come up. Scorpio asks us to let go of control, to release the ego of our greatest fears so we can transcend them and experience greater personal power.
Scorpio is a water sign, and it is said that fertility is heightened at this time.
Unresolved issues can intensify as we approach full moon, forcing them to be revealed and dealt with.
The powerful energy of the full moon allows us to bring our deep emotions to the surface and release them. With the moon being in Scorpio this month, its fixed water energy keeps emotions deep and with it reigning right now it is a great opportunity for you to release your inner burden.
Speak up! This is a time to speak your truth and be honest about how you feel, avoid holding and repressing these emotions. With it being Autumn heading into winter, holding in words can give rise to wind-heat and sore throat (harbouring anger).
Why is it called a Blue Moon?
This Full Moon is considered a Seasonal Blue Moon, as it is the fourth Full Moon following the Equinox. Metaphysically, rays of blue moonlight are going to pierce your outer mask and help you to drop this cover and share your vulnerability.
