Holistic Health CoachingWith over 8 years of practical experience, Dr. Ilana Sowter found that Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs were not always enough to treat her patients effectively. With exploring the depths of some of her patients’ lives and thinking patters she soon discovered that many had issues. Life circumstances or thinking patterns that once changed; their health problems remarkably improved. This is where coaching is key; if the true cause of the disease is not treated then the disease will not be cured.

ExperiencePast Dr. Ilana has been practising for over 8 years. She spent her early career working with Ngaio Richards at Sydney’s House of Fertility and Healing. Later was a part of Fertile Ground Health Group; Melbourne’s premium collaboration of health practitioners. She understands the importance of being your health practitioner while working in collaboration with you GP, specialist and team of people. Since 2016, she ran her own private practice in Ivanhoe, Melbourne. Current She runs her own private practice in Murrays Bay, Auckland, New Zealand which is right near Mairangi Bay village.
ResearchIlana devotes much of her time researching anecdotal evidence and current trends in natural health and fertility. Essentially, she is passionate about attending seminars, holding workshops and writing articles. Her main purpose is to educate people about the importance of wellbeing. She has undertaken extra studies and training with Professor Huang Huang, along with observing some great herbalists such as Peter Slipper, Dr Li and Kylie Freemantle. This November, she is teaching a seminar with Lydia Lee at Materia Medica in Auckland on Chinese Herbal Medicine.
