Stress & Fear in Isolation
Is life really stressful or have you lost control and let it take over your life? The current situation means you are stuck in your house. Being stuck physically translates to emotional stagnation; where being with your thoughts all day long, could lead to an emotional breakdown. This article discusses ways you can feel better and cope successfully through your isolation.

I always loved Louise Hay’s affirmations for guidance through treacherous times. The mind is a good slave but a very bad master. It will consistently take you to the dark side of your shadow self. Now where you have no distraction, you may feel that your current reality is not what you want. It is not what you really desire and you crave something else.
What you think and see about shapes your current reality. Take five minutes to daydream about what you do like about life right now. There certainly are positives! Or have you only been focussing on the negative?
Get outside for a walk to the shops or exercise. Being outside with the sun, moon and environment is a wonderful feeling. Moving your body allows you to move stuck energy and qi in your body. In Chinese medicine, when your qi (energy) flows strongly and abundantly through your body you will feel well and radiant.
Yoga means yolk (connect) the body and mind together. You may be feeling very disconnected from your body, are your addictions worse or are you coping through drinking too much alcohol? Daily practice is essential for a hygienic psyche (mind). Amazing yoga livestream yoga is now available with Melbourne-based yogi Shannon Rokis who has an Eastern approach incorporating Chinese Medicine in her practice, highly recommended her classes and they are very affordable too.
A calm mind gives you a calm body. Even if you only take ten minutes a day, meditation is powerful for helping you feel fantastic! Don’t push through work or waste your time watching memes, take control and schedule in a daily practice. It is a great investment to a clear and happy mind.
One of the most important things you need to be doing is moving and acting physically in the body right now. Being stuck in your house, it’s important that you keep active and do things, which is a purpose of being human. If you’ve lost your job, think about how you can be of value and serve others right now. Get into the garden, weed it, plant seeds and connect with the environment. What hobbies have you wanted to try? Knitting, building, making food or beer? Now is the time to invest in yourself and do that. Make a plan everyday and decide what you want to achieve for the day. It’s a great time to connect with your children, your partner, your household or simply connect with yourself, and do what you really want to do. Go for it, the time is now.
Positive Affirmations for Stress-Free Living
Here are some of Hay’s affirmations to remind you to let go of the fear and allow the best situation possible to arise in your good.
I let go of all fear and doubt, and life becomes simple and easy for me.
I create a stress-free world for myself.
I slowly breathe in and out, and I find myself relaxing more and more with each breath.
I am a capable person, and I can handle anything that comes my way.
I am centered and focused. I feel more secure each day.
I am at ease with myself, and I am at ease with other people.
I close my eyes, think positive thoughts, and breathe goodness in and out.
